Booking myself...

Amid all of the sessions that I've done for other people lately, I realized that I haven't done a formal set of my own kids all summer. Sure, I do the snapshots here and there, but nothing that I'd put in frames. So I actually made a date, put it on my calendar and committed to it. We had fun, but it's a totally different ballgame when it's your own kids. They don't listen as well and there aren't parents to help me! It didn't help that it was super warm and humid. But overall, they were troopers, and made me happy in the end...

These were giant alphabet blocks. Ironically, they were all lined up as HTM.

Only Timmy can make her laugh like this!!

And while I can still pick out her shoes....

Courtney

The back to school rush is definitely starting around here. We've all found out our teacher assignments and started shopping for new clothes and supplies. The reality really hit me when the Senior Photo surge started. Courtney is the first post of many to come for this age group. It was a nice break to work with such an easy client, since most of my recent work has been with the 5 and under crowd and they rarely want to sit still.

I hope you enjoy these as much as I did!

And here is mom, the official clothing/purse/sunglass/makeup carrier!

Carrie and her girls

My cousin is one of the most incredible people in the world, and she is easily my closest friend. We are 16 days apart, and were raised like twins. We dressed alike and lived very close to eachother when we were young. I grew up as an only child (until I was 13) and so Carrie is the closest thing I have to a similar aged sibling, and it was fun to share our childhood memories together while she stayed with us for 8 days. If only San Antonio wasn't so far away from Minnesota...

Blondie

This little girl was so blonde... and SOOOO very girlie. The shoes matched the hair bow! She was very dainty, and instead of looking at the fish in the pond, as usual, we were looking for Ariel. I hope she never loses her enthusiasm for mermaids!!

Torture...

This client lives directly across the street from me. Imagine my luck, I get to see these amazing kids whenever I want to! This was a re-shoot since the last set was a disaster with bad weather. I'm backed up since I've had three shoots this week, but I couldn't resist putting a few of the photos from last night's session up. Sorry S&K... these aren't even the cutest ones. I'll make you wait for those!

Family Reunion

These photos are a little less formal, but just as fun. I had the pleasure of joining a family on a riverboat and I got to capture the celebration of what family means- the spirit of togetherness. What a fun evening! Thanks for inviting me Lisa!
